Company Changes Name to Reflect Expanded Focus on Gold and Copper Exploration

First Vanadium Corp. reported it is changing its name to Phenom Resources Corp. as it is now actively engaged in gold and copper exploration in addition to vanadium.

First Vanadium Corp. (FVAN:TSX.V; FVANF:OTCQX; 1PY:FSE) announced in a news release that effective July 6, 2021, it will be changing its name to "Phenom Resources Corp." The firm stated the change in its corporate name is being made to better reflect the nature of its business as it is no longer focused solely on just vanadium and is now also involved in exploring for both gold and copper in addition to vanadium at its properties.

First Vanadium advised that its common shares are scheduled to begin trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the new name Phenom Resources Corp. when markets open for trading on July 6, 2021. The company indicated that the shares will be assigned a new ticker symbol, PHNM, and advised that it has obtained new CUSIP (71743P107) and ISIN (CA71743P1071) numbers for its shares.

First Vanadium stated that existing shareholders do not need to take any further actions and that First Vanadium Corp. share certificates will not be impacted and do not need to be exchanged. The company noted that if shareholders have any concerns or questions that they should feel free to contact either the company or their broker or agent.

The company's President and CEO Paul Cowley remarked, "We're excited and proud to announce our new branding, website and logo that are both bold and inspirational. This will add to our visibility, clarity and distinction in the market, aligning with our broader based multi commodity path."

First Vanadium is a gold, copper and vanadium explorer based in Vancouver, B.C. The company noted that it holds an option that allows it to earn a 100% interest in the Carlin Vanadium Project located near Carlin, Nev. In addition, the company has another gold prospect in Nevada and a copper prospect in Arizona.
